www.nevadamusic.co.uk The RG2550Z belongs to the Ibanez Prestige range and is manufactured using a Basswood body with a 3 piece Maple & Walnut neck and a flat Rosewood fret board that utilises 24 jumbo frets with Shark-fin fret markers. Basswood has become a standard material for use in the manufacturing of Ibanez guitars and is a relatively lightweight wood – which makes it suitable for extended playing periods. The pick-up configuration provides USA made Dimarzio IBZ hum-buckers at the neck and bridge position with a single coil IBZ pick-up located in between the two in a middle position. A single volume and separate tone control speed knob provides volume and tone adjustment where appropriate. The RG2550Z uses the Ibanez Edge Zero locking tremolo system which is in a Charcoal finish to contrast with the Galaxy White finish of the guitar. The Edge Zero tremolo sysytem has plenty of adjustment possiblities that allow tensioning of the tremolo arm itself and an intonation adjuster screw to provide accurate tuning up the fret board. The remaining hardware is also finished in Charcoal (machine heads and volume & tone pots) and has a stunning mirror scratch plate that’s sure to look good under the stage lights … lthough Ibanez make a wide range of guitars to suit all styles, they are best known for their range of high octane Super Strats and with good reason.
